For those wanting to experience the Wonderland Trail without the hassle of getting a backpacking permit, many sections also make fantastic day hikes:

Summerland and Panhandle Gap	Indian Bar
Indian Henry's from Longmire	Skyscraper Mountain
Spray Park	Longmire to Reflection Lakes
Stevens Canyon	White River to Sunrise

These shorter backpacking routes overlap with parts of the Wonderland. They still require permits, but less time and commitment than hiking the full trail:
